About Thought Out Loud
What is Thought Out Loud?
Thought Out Loud is a contributor-content magazine in which individuals with a variety of interests, backgrounds, and perspectives come together to “think out loud” about several areas of life: politics and philosophy, arts and culture, travel. The magazine aims to provoke thought and discussion around a number of issues and to provide a constructive space where readers and contributors can develop and explore their ideas and positions on these issues. It publishes new content weekly.
What does “Thought Out Loud” mean?
The concept of “Thought Out Loud” expresses an approach to writing and speaking about issues and experiences that is based on open, critical, constructive, and thoughtful dialogue from on a variety of perspectives. Rather than relying on rhetoric, invective, oppositional debate, and confrontation, thought out loud is dialogical – it requires common and open back-and-forth exchanges in order to develop opinions, arguments, and positions. This approach relies on contributors to remain open to change and difference.
